This is a consultant role for an estimated period of 12-18 months.
Time commitment required will be for 3-4 days in a week and will be hybrid mode (mix of virtual and work from office). Interested candidates can direct message me over linked in.
Candidate Experience Criteria:
- Should have worked for an Intellectual Property (IP) led organization.
- Preferred background in software products,
- Pharma industry experience is also acceptable.
- Should have done work in an environment with distribution networks.
- Should have both legal as well as finance experience
- Should have worked in a promoter driven Company
- Should have exposure to financial services and international business operations
- Should have worked or taken a company public – at least should have been CFO of a reasonable sized public company (more than 5,000 Cr.)
- Should have experience across accounting, commercial, taxation and compliance, business partnering.
- M&A experience would be desirable.
- Retired professionals or those nearing retirement preferred.
Expected Outcome:
- Drive and support key strategic assignments within the finance function and to build the current finance head's strategic skillset.
- Financial Performance Metrics - Establish and monitor metrics.
- Investment Frameworks - Develop frameworks for both internal and external investments.
- Capital Raising and Allocation - Create robust frameworks for capital raising and allocation.
- Risk Management - Implement a comprehensive risk management framework.
- Internal Controls and Governance - Set up internal controls and governance systems.
- Transform the finance team from a supporting role to a strategic function
- Working with the leadership team to establish the right understanding of the business and their roles from a financial perspective.
- Working with the leadership to create long (more than 3 years), mid (rolling 3 year), and short-term planning processes.
- To coach and mentor Head of Finance
- Identify key strengths and areas for improvement in the finance head.
- Provide active guidance and push to cultivate effective leadership and mentorship skills.
- Ensure the finance head has the necessary support from the management team.
