The ideal candidate will design, build, and operatereal-time streaming pipelines and analytics , write and optimizecomplex Flink SQL queries , and administerConfluent Cloud environmentsincluding topic management and schema governance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and optimizeApache Flink streaming jobs .AdministerConfluent Cloud Kafkaenvironments.Develop and maintainJava-based streaming components .Enforcesecurity and compliance standards : TLS, RBAC/ACLs, schema governance, secrets management, and audit logging.Collaborate withdata engineers, SREs, and product teamsto define SLAs/SLOs and data contracts.Review designs and PRs, mentor engineers on streaming best practices, and contribute tostandards and documentation .Required Qualifications7+ yearsbuilding streaming/data-in-motion solutions;3+ yearsfocused on Kafka (Confluent Cloud strongly preferred).3+ yearshands-on experience withApache Flink (Flink SQL) ; expert in writing and tuning complex Flink queries.Strong troubleshooting skills withKafka and Flink .Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to translate requirements into robust streaming designs.Nice to HaveExperience withConfluent Cloud Flink (managed) ,ksqlDB , andKafka Streams .Cloud experience ( Azure ) and observability stacks ( Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana ).
