Our ideal candidate will have strong product thinking skills and user experience sensibilities along with an understanding of company financial data. Successful candidates will combine an understanding of the data with building and working on web-based applications. The ideal candidate should be able to work well in a team, be highly self-motivated with the ability to execute independently.ResponsibilitiesIn the role, you will support developing, enhancing and delivering the Fundamentals & Estimates offering across the S&P Global Platforms.You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to ensure what we build drives real client value. You will work closely with Content, Technology, and Commercial to design, develop and promote solutions catered towards driving value for our clients.Your job is to create the best possible Fundamentals & Estimates products and services for our clients, key activities include:Support Product Managers in defining and executing on the roadmap from concept through launch for Fundamentals & EstimatesActing as Product Owner on an agile scrum teamCreate and maintain user stories and a product backlog that describes the end goals, and demonstrates the value to our client both external and internalPrioritization of the product backlog and setting the vision/expectation for the stories within the scrum teamLiaise between the development team and stakeholders, end users, business and customers to define requirements, prioritize delivery goals, resolve impediments and communicate progressPartnering with stakeholders to envision new products and enhancements and create user stories and wireframesAnalyze and incorporate client feedback to drive product enhancementsSupport the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for product roll-out/launchConduct usage analysis along with market and competitor researchBecome a subject matter expert to assist relationship managers, new sales, and client support with demonstrations and product/workflow understanding as it relates to Fundamentals & EstimatesConduct product testing of the existing platform and new enhancements to ensure all released solutions meet our high quality standardsWork closely with the development (technology) scrum teams to progress product development in a Scaled Agile environment
QualificationsBA/BS in finance, business, mathematics, engineering or related fields2+ years of relevant work experienceKnowledge of Agile/Scrum or SAFe process (Experience as a Product Owner/Scrum Master of a SCRUM team a plus)A professional, highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive in a team environmentThe ability to analyze and solve complex problems and show creativity in problem solving e.g. taking a new perspective using existing solutionsExcellent influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Product management experience working with Agile/ScrumAbility to understand client product challenges and contribute to defining and communicating solutionsExperience working with fundamental data, with a solid understanding of financial statements including experience with financial statement analysis or accountingGood knowledge of global financial marketsKnowledge of Investment Management / Investment Banking / Capital Markets workflows; and associated user segmentation withinSQL query knowledge.
