The Finance organization partners across General Mills to provide financial expertise to guide and govern the company. Purpose of the role

Job Overview

Manage supply chain finance functions for designated external manufacturing locations. Be a front face and the first point of contact to the company and build a robust relationship with external manufacturing locations. Will be responsible for Financial Accuracy of External Supply Chain Locations and at finished product warehouses as part of the Supply Chain Accounting team. This position would support the ESC & Warehouse FSL.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

70% of Time Communication: Email, Telephonic, Live Meeting & IM
- Communication with External Manufacturers primarily for Inventory, Payables, Materials Usage, Volume analysis, Payment variances, Actual V/s Plan volume analysis, Product Costing and Manufacturing Variances.
- Communication with Logistics, Warehouse Operators, SC Accounting global center of excellence, Finance.

10% of Time Month end activities:
- Approve journal entries
- Cost Centre Review
- Account Reconciliations
- Variance Analysis & reporting

20% of Time Daily Activities:
- Inventory Stock Adjustment review and approval
- Usage Analysis (Monthly / Annual)
- Act as business process liaison between many different - Planning & Analysis, SC Reporting, Logistics, Sourcing, ESC FA
- Contract Review
- Oversight of inventory activities performed by internal and third-party-warehouse employees
- Escalation point for accounting and control questions at each site

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory- Note: This is the minimum education criteria which cannot be altered) Experience- 4 Years of related experience required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred years of related experience: 5 years Preferred Major Area of Study: Finance, Analytics, Accountancy, Costing Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters Preferred Professional Certifications: CA, MBA

Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed

ESC experience is good to have.

Should be able to manage supply chain functions for designated manufacturing locations. The responsibilities will involve:

Ensure financials are accurate and aligned with ESC SP budget Approval of ESC toll rates and Journal Entries > $100M Lead raw material usage calls with top tier ESC locations Ensure proper accounting controls and procedures are followed Provide support and insight to External Supply Chain Financial and Operations teams Identify and communicate Risk and Opportunities to ESC Guidance Analyst Participate in Strategic Partner Alliance meetings Key point of contact between ESC Financial Analysts and Manufacturing Process Leads Continually recommend action for system/business process improvements to increase productivity and reduce workload in department Keep up-to-date on business/system enhancements and communicate to department Coordinate or assistant in cross-functional projects Capital (PPE and Lease) accounting lead for ESC and Manufacturing.

Monthly Reporting

Resolve and/or explain monthly variances - cost center and production orders for ESC and production orders for GMI Mfg Plants

Manage Budgets (Spring Plan)

Complete Spring Plan location budgets

Other Responsibilities:

Supporting HMM discovery and ideation

Support Continuous Improvement – identify process improvements, engage in creating and putting in place improvements (i.e. utilizing YY or Focused Improvement) and communicate to broader ESC group

Act as business process liaison between many different departments - Logistics, Warehouse Operators, SC Accounting global center of excellence, Finance Month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Oversight of inventory activities performed by internal and third-party-warehouse employees Fixed budget development and monthly variance analysis Invoice approvals Escalation point for accounting and control questions at each site
