We are looking for a Finance Associate to support our APAC Finance day-to-day transactions and month-end financial reporting. Finance Associate responsibilities include:
contributing to month-end financial close, including posting manual journals and performing controls in compliance to IFRS Accounting Standards.
producing quarterly group reporting package per the Head Office Requirements.
reviewing daily nostro reconciliation and clearing accounts breaks, system rejects and exceptions, and following up on remediations.
Main responsibilities and duties of the role:
Daily Accounting Controls
preparing daily nostro reconciliation and clearing accounts breaks report and following up with Operations/ Local Finance/IT, Head Office to clear the exceptions.
Proactively following up on the rectification on AFL filter/rejects, Matisse rejects, ALMA rejects, ASPA/Summit break.
Preparing journal entries to correct system interface rejects or exceptions.
Month End Financial Close
Clearing or provide analysis/comment on all suspense balances as of month-end date.
Calculating and recording the intragroup recharges or transfer pricing.
Preparing for month-end journal entries such as accrual of expenses and claims, HO/intercompany recharges, bonuses, depreciation charge allocation, market risks reserve/CVA/DVA etc.
Other month end controls
Group Reporting
Producing various Head Office reporting package including IFRS, French Reporting, Finrep and other Notes Disclosure.
Reporting intercompany balances and resolving any intercompany discrepancy
Attending to HO enquiries
Required Skills
Work experience as Finance Associate or similar role
Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
Advanced MS Excel Skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
Familiarity with Accounting Software (e.g., SAP, Matisse, Kalypso)
Organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask.
Able to work Singapore shift.
Qualified CA
