Job Profile:


The Global Payroll, Benefits, and Compliance Specialist/Manager is responsible for the timely processing of all international payroll transactions, managing global benefits, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, across all Algonomy Legal Entitles in countries outside India (USA, Sweden, UK, Brazil, Dubai, Sri Lanka, France, Italy and Japan).


Primary responsibilities :

  1. Review and certify payroll transactions to ensure all recommended payments accurately reflect current compensation levels and withholdings in accordance with local labor laws and requirements, for all employees in applicable legal entities in the country.
  2. Communicate professionally and regularly with payroll support vendors to ensure timely, accurate processing, and knowledge of local requirements.
  3. Process and record payroll and related transactions in accordance with monthly deadlines.
  4. Research and propose resolution of any data conflicts that impact payroll processing.
  5. Communicate irregularities or issues to the Finance Head and COO in a timely manner.
  6. Monitor monthly timesheets and conduct timesheet audits as needed to resolve payroll issues.
  7. Process approved pay adjustments as needed, including Commission, Bonus in line with Global payroll calendar.
  8. Collect and provide reports and other supporting documentation for internal and/or external audit preparation.
  9. ACA reporting, Form 5500 filing, 401k reconciliation, P11D filings (UK), handle Workers compensation audit with US authorities.
  10. Monitor and distribute payroll reports ensuring consistency of all domestic and overseas reports.
  11. Ensure leave balances are accurately recorded and reported.
  12. Regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  13. Provide general support of financial operations and perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  14. Support / own any transformation projects that affect payroll – including identification of EOR / PEO agencies for new / current countries / states in scope
  15. Should be familiar with Insurance in multiple geographies.
  16. Own review and execution of benefits renewals, help employees understand benefits on offer, support for any clarifications for claims & benefits application.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

8-12 years of experience in international payroll, benefits, and compliance management.

Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar will be an advantage.

Experience working in a multinational company with a diverse and distributed workforce.

Proficiency in payroll software and systems like ADP, TriNet, SAP, or Workday.

Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes across multiple countries.

Excellent understanding of international employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Experience in managing third-party payroll vendors.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cultures.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
