Assistant Vice President

Job Purpose:
- Assist in automation of projects for RBG Operations
- Collaboration and assistance to Technology, vendor team & other stakeholders for smooth delivery of automation solutions.
- Establish and drive governance for multiple projects.
- Responsible for tracking the actionable and overall status of projects and highlight/escalate in case of any delays/blocks
- Manage medium sized teams of projects management / Digital Transformation / MI & QC
- Prioritize projects and actions based on the agreed Metrics with business.
- Work directly with RBG Digital Squads to ensure RBG Ops priorities are addressed and achieved.
- Publishing MIS & Reports to senior stakeholders.
- Lead internal MI and Quality Control for all RBG Ops units
- Design automation opportunity with whatever tool Mashreq and the market can provide.
- The same KPIs above reflect to different geographical regions within RBG Division
Key Result Area:
- Define and maintain the centralized project book of work
- Define TO-BE process basis AS-IS process inputs from Business Analyst
- Obtain cost and efforts estimates and timelines from Technology team / RBG Digital Squads
- Obtain necessary sign offs (BRD, FSD, UI/UX, SIT, UAT, Go-Live) and approvals (Cost, CRs, Closure)
- Monitor the progress of the projects and highlight/escalate in case of any delays/blocks
- Ensure regular project updates are shared with all stakeholders
- Ensure postproduction sanity checks, controls and SOP changes are in place
- Follow up with business owners to confirm the postproduction stability and benefits
- Establish change management framework
- Ownership of end-to-end life cycle of all RBG projects
- Evangelize through demos and best practice sharing
- Explore automation opportunities in Processes in RBG and provide frequent findings to HEAD of RBG Ops
- Frequent recurring meetings with stakeholders to ensure visibility / tracking / escalation and eventually achieve milestones.
- Support the division head in providing timely information and data related to the overall performances of different units within RBG.
Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships
- Multi-discipline, multi-cultural work force involving financial and non-financial processes across UAE & IBG Ops including in-house and offshored vendor managed processes
- Liaise with technology for technical feasibilities and dependencies
- Close liaison with Operations, Technology and Vendor Partners
Problem Solving
- Ensure Feedback from end user & various stake holders are incorporated in digital solutions delivery
- Gain wholehearted acceptance of solutions proposed to address issues identified in E2E reviews
- Ensure solutions are implemented on fast-track basis
Decision Making Authority & Responsibility
Support User Acceptance Testing to expedite the delivery timelines
- Resolve any UAT blocks and escalate if required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Graduate with at least 10 years of diversified experience in banking operations of which at least 2-3 yrs in Projects role
- Strong understanding of payment operations – International and Domestic Payments
- Techno-functional
- Detail oriented, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication & presentation skills.
