The Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Sr. Cognos Developer with 10 to 14 years of experience in enterprise business intelligence solutions to lead a strategic initiative focused on streamlining and consolidating over 900+ Cognos reports . The reports support critical functions across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Risk, and other departments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in IBM Cognos, SQL , and Framework Manager , along with strong analytical and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and optimize the reporting environment.

Requirements:

  • 10–14 years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos BI tools (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager).
  • Expert-level skills in SQL , relational databases, and query performance optimization.
  • Proven experience in report rationalization/consolidation projects across large-scale reporting environments.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling , data validation , and BI architecture .
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for optimization and performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks while coordinating across cross-functional teams.
  • Industry experience in insurance, finance, or risk management domains.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
  • Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and enterprise BI standards .
