The Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Sr. Cognos Developer with 10 to 14 years of experience in enterprise business intelligence solutions to lead a strategic initiative focused on streamlining and consolidating over 900+ Cognos reports. The reports support critical functions across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Risk, and other departments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in IBM Cognos, SQL, and Framework Manager, along with strong analytical and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and optimize the reporting environment.

Requirements:

  • 10–14 years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos BI tools (Report Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager).
  • Expert-level skills in SQL, relational databases, and query performance optimization.
  • Proven experience in report rationalization/consolidation projects across large-scale reporting environments.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data validation, and BI architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for optimization and performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage tasks while coordinating across cross-functional teams.
  • Industry experience in insurance, finance, or risk management domains.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
  • Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and enterprise BI standards.
