Job Description: HVAC MEP Engineer  


Position Overview: The HVAC MEP Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining (remove this) HVAC systems for our commercial properties. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (remove this) (MEP) systems, and a proactive approach to ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. 


Key Responsibilities:  


  • Design and Implementation:  
  • Develop and review HVAC system designs and specifications for commercial real estate projects. 
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into building designs. 
  • Ensure HVAC systems are compliant with local codes, regulations, and industry standards. 
  • Project Management:  
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems. 
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion (remove this) 
  • Monitor project progress and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies. 
  • Maintenance and Optimization:  
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. 
  • Implement energy-efficient solutions and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance system efficiency. (remove this) 
  • Analyze system performance data and address any operational concerns. 
  • Documentation and Reporting:  
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of HVAC system designs, installations, and maintenance activities. 
  • Generate reports on system performance, energy usage, and compliance with regulations. 
  • Collaboration and Communication:  
  • Work closely with property management teams, facility managers, and other stakeholders to address HVAC-related issues and requirements. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance to ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of HVAC systems. 


Qualifications:  


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC and MEP engineering, preferably within the commercial real estate sector. 
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical engineering principles, and building codes. 
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
