The OpportunitySolutioner, a leading executive search organization, is partnering with our client to find a high-caliber Legal Head to lead their Real Estate division's legal function. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned legal professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the legal strategy and ensuring smooth operations within a dynamic and growing real estate portfolio.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the entire legal function for the Real Estate division, overseeing a team of lawyers and paralegalsProvide strategic legal counsel and guidance to the Real Estate business leadership on all aspects of their operations, including acquisitions, development, leasing, financing, and regulatory compliance.Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including purchase agreements, construction contracts, leases, loan agreements, and joint venture agreementsConduct thorough due diligence on potential real estate transactions and investments.Manage legal risks associated with the Real Estate division's activities and develop strategies to mitigate them.Stay up-to-date on evolving real estate laws and regulations and ensure the company's compliance.Represent the company in legal matters related to the Real Estate division, including negotiations and litigation (may involve working with external counsel)Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the Real Estate division and other business units.Foster a collaborative and efficient legal team environment.

QualificationsLaw degree (LL.B. or equivalent) from a reputed institutionMinimum 15 years of experience in a senior legal role, preferably within the Real Estate industryProven track record of successfully managing complex real estate transactionsIn-depth knowledge of real estate law, regulations, and best practicesStrong understanding of real estate development, financing, and leasing processesExcellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities effectively and work independentlyStrong leadership and team management skillsClient-focused approach and ability to build strong relationshipsA keen understanding of the business of real estate and its commercial realities
