As a Manager in our Tax team, you'll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed client expectations, and work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
1. Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.2. Act to resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively.3. Coach others, recognize their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.4. Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations and Focus on Quality.5. Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.6. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.7. Perform a detailed review of the work done by Seniors and Associates8. Work/Share knowledge on Tax Technical skills and to Improve the quality of the work Team.9. Effectively work in an outsourced environment.10. Exercising professional skepticism and judgement.11. Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborating and working with multiple teams demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work.
Need to Have:
1. Masters/bachelor’s in accounting or related field.2. Minimum 8 years of experience in US Taxation3. Fluent in English about work and understand language in the social and cultural context of the US.4. Experience of Handling a team in a previous firm.5. Experience with a regional or Big 4 accounting firm6. Proven relationship management skills and experience establishing rapport, trust and confidence with key stakeholders7. Ability to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levels8. Facilitated Training for staff and seniors.9. Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements, even in a virtual environment
Good to Have:
1. CPA or EA is preferred but not mandatory.2. Candidate with exposure to US client handling is preferred.3. Prior experience in Managerial or supervisory role4. Experience with advanced Tax planning & Research tools5. Familiarity with emerging technologies and their impacts on Tax compliance.
