Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role(Night Shift) for a Tax Preparer at Tax Tribe in Hyderabad. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing tax returns for Canadian individuals - T1, interpreting tax laws, and providing tax advice. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and compliance with tax regulations.


Compensation

Remuneration for this position can be varied between INR 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs based on the experience


Responsibilities


  • Execution and completion of tax returns T1, T2
  • Review of a wide range of personal tax returns and simple corporate tax returns
  • Manage tax activities in connection with non-tax (i.e., accounting/audit) files
  • Work with Tax Partners and other senior tax staff to: develop and implement tax planning services including research of tax issues and preparation of memoranda, and perform special tax engagements
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
  • Preparation and presentation of technical sessions to firm staff
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships and identify client service opportunities


Qualifications


  • At least 2 years of paid professional experience in Canadian tax preparation, using industry-standard tax software.
  • Successfully completed a minimum of 100 tax returns per season over the past two years.
  • Skilled in preparing comprehensive personal tax returns, covering areas like employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, T1135 filings, foreign income, and all relevant credits and deductions.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian tax laws and concepts.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology, including Windows, Mac, mobile platforms, and Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Adaptable with flexible availability and scheduling.
  • Excellent customer service skills and dedication to customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in a contact center support role is also an asset.
