Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Search Marketing Analyst located in Gurugram. The Search Marketing Analyst will be responsible for managing paid search campaigns, performing keyword research, analyzing web analytics, and developing online marketing strategies. Daily tasks will involve monitoring campaign performance, making data-driven optimizations, collaborating with the content team, and reporting on key metrics to ensure the achievement of marketing goals.

1. Educational Qualifications

  • Formal Degree (optional but preferred):
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, IT, Business, or related fields

  • MBA in Marketing (for mid-senior roles) is a plus.
  • Certifications (highly valued):
  • Google Analytics (GA4) Certification
  • Google Search Ads Certification
  • HubSpot Content Marketing Certification
  • SEMrush / Ahrefs / Moz SEO Certifications
  • HubSpot or Yoast SEO Training
  • Advanced SEO courses (Coursera, Udemy, HubSpot Academy, etc.)

2. Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of
    Google ranking factors
    & algorithms.
  • Knowledge of
    On-page SEO
    (meta tags, keyword placement, content optimization).
  • Knowledge of
    Technical SEO
    (site audits, Core Web Vitals, sitemaps, schema markup, , canonical tags).
  • Off-page SEO & Link Building
    strategies.
  • Keyword research & competitor analysis
    using tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, etc.).
  • Analytics & Reporting
    – Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Data Studio/Looker.
  • Knowledge of
    HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
    (for technical troubleshooting).
  • Familiarity with
    CMS platforms
    (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Magento, HubSpot).
  • Local SEO knowledge (Google Business Profile optimization, citations, reviews).
  • Mobile-first indexing & voice search optimization.

3. Professional Experience

  • Entry-level: 0–1 year (internship / fresher with certifications).
  • Analyst/Executive level: 1–3 years managing SEO campaigns.
  • Senior/Manager level: 4–8+ years, including leading SEO strategy and team management.

4. Soft Skills

  • Analytical mindset
