Role: IT Support Engineer (Freelancer)
We are looking freelance IT Support Engineer. The IT Support Engineer will be part of the team providing IT support to more than 10 departments and serving over 120 users in Europe. The role involves coordinating with the other team, maintaining IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and assisting in IT projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the ICT support team to ensure effective service delivery.
- Provide first-level ICT support to users.
- Collaborate closely with the client IT Manager to align IT services with organizational goals.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, including computers, printers, and network devices.
- Support and upgrade software systems, including operating systems and applications.
- Assist in ICT projects, such as SharePoint Online migration and Cloud storage implementation.
- Recommend and implement new technology developments to enhance services.
- Conduct training sessions on various tools and technologies.
- Provide expertise in SharePoint Online and O365 collaborative tools.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software.
- Schedule and perform routine inspections of IT equipment and infrastructures.
- Coordinate and arrange additional local support as needed.
- Provide preventive maintenance services during weekends if required.
- Prepare and submit quarterly activity reports covering service progress, concerns, and corrective measures.
- Conduct monthly meetings with managers to evaluate service deliverables and address any issues.
- Participate in meetings with senior management to discuss and resolve any concerns.
- Assist users in organizing and supporting hybrid or online events.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in troubleshooting, networking, and hardware and software maintenance.
- Advanced diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with Office 365 products, Exchange, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune.
- Certifications in Microsoft Desktop Support Technician or similar and CISCO Networking certifications (CCNA)
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Ability to work under challenging circumstances with minimal supervision.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and French.
