The Infosys Knowledge Institute (IKI) is a thought leadership unit within Infosys, operationally chartered to develop thought leadership our company. The Knowledge Institute helps industry leaders understand the impact of market challenges and trends, and provides research to aid in making critical business and technology decisions. We develop and publish showcase research projects, articles, videos, podcasts, animations, and more. We are looking for the right person to help us significantly step up our data visualization capabilities.
Data Analysis & Visualization Specialist
Job Overview
We are looking for a Data Analysis & Visualization Specialist who will support our Knowledge Institute research team in presenting data from different data sources. The ideal candidate is adept at creating visualizations in Tableau, and additionally has a background in creating and using databases. They must have strong experience building dashboards with a variety of interactive charts. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for creating clear, provocative, and compelling data visualizations.
Responsibilities
Extensive experience creating dashboards in Tableau
Experience using data to tell stories
Understand which chart types work best to present specific types of insights
Work with Knowledge Institute research team to create graphics from surveys and other types of data
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for creating visualizations for storytelling, and to drive business solutions, or to discover business insights.
Collect and facilitate analysis of data from databases to discover business insights and to recommend business strategies.
Ideally, be able to organize data into databases.
Qualifications for Data Analysis & Visualization Specialist
Setting up automated dashboards for visualization of key internal and external data for research and analysis
Experience working in Adobe Illustrator is a plus but not required
Experience with data-analysis-related tools in SQL, Python, and R is also a plus but not required.
Experience creating visualizations for web browsers via React JS or similar is a plus but not required
Experience in identifying relevant data sources and sets to analyze for business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables
Experience in devising and utilizing algorithms and models to collect data, perform data and error validation
5+ years' experience independently creating a variety of charts and graphs in Tableau as a regular part of job role
A full-time master’s degree
