The team
Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.
Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators

As a GCVE and VMware Engineer in our

Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -
We are seeking a skilled GCVE and VM Migration Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the migration of virtual machines to Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE). You will work closely with our clients to ensure seamless transitions, optimize performance, and enhance overall cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement migration strategies for moving VMs to GCVE.2.Perform assessments of existing environments to identify requirements and dependencies.3.Configure and deploy GCVE environments.4.Execute migration plans, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.5.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VM migrations and GCVE.6.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud infrastructure.7.Provide documentation and training to clients on GCVE best practices.8.Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.2.3+ years of experience in VM migrations to cloud environments, specifically GCP.3.Strong expertise in Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).4.Proficiency with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and related technologies.5.Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies.6.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.7.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.8. Google Cloud certifications (preferred).
Location and way of workingBase location: PAN IndiaThis profile involves occasional travelling to client locations OR this profile does not involve extensive travel for work.Hybrid is our default way of working. Each domain has customized the hybrid approach to their unique needs.

Working with cloud platformsExperience as an enterprise systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation tools, such as Ansible.Extensive knowledge of Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking and storageExperience architecting cloud infrastructures on AWS for small, medium scale and enterprise level applications.Specific experience in implementing with AWS, including Virtual Networks, Computes, Load Balancers, Storage, Database and IAM ServicesBroad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, performance tuning of cloud environments.Technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/WindowsExperience with configuring software defined networking and security configurations, including security groups and ACLs.Experience with DevOps procedures and processes and with working in an Agile environment.Experience with troubleshooting very complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity and application performance and monitoring tools and offering high-level strategic planning and advice to an entity that will allow for the successful adoption or migration of Cloud-based technologies or services.
