The CloudSolutionsTeam builds and operates the VMware Cloud Service Platform (VMC Platform) for our customers and partners. This multi-cloud VMC Platform enables subscription services with VMware Cloud on AWS, VMware Cloud on AWS Outposts, VMware Cloud on Dell, VMware Cloud Foundation, and all our service integrations with Azure, Google, Oracle, Alibaba Cloud, and on-premises vSphere users.

As a developer in CloudSolutionsTeam, you will have an opportunity to participate in all layers of SaaS development to lead VMware’s SaaS transformation. The SaaS lifecycle includes Developer enablement, creating tools and automation for a paved path to production, building a SaaS Starter kit and Core services that enable fast service development with common functions (API Gateway, Data, Orchestration, Messaging...). In addition, you can develop our real-time usage mediation, metering and billing of SaaS services through the multi-provider Hermes platform. You can also directly contribute towards VMware’s multi-cloud journey by joining our public and local cloud teams such as VMware Cloud on AWS and VMware Cloud on Dell or by participating in new innovative multi-cloud consumption solutions that drive customer and partner adoption.

VMware Cloud engineers develop products that focus on standing up SaaS stack from grounds up to offer customers creative infrastructure services in the cloud e.g. AWS. We are a growing team and are looking for a strong engineering talent to help us build a next-generation services platform. For this role, you should have a proven software development background with experience in the successful delivery of high quality software as service (SaaS). You should be highly technical, detail oriented with a focus on implementation excellence and experience in leading junior members of team.

**Job Role and Responsibility**:

- As part of a team of engineers, design, develop, maintain, and operate a scalable service control plane, and dependent components including a highly-available persistence layer and messaging bus.
- Engage with and drive high-visibility DevOps process including continuous integration and continuous deployment with zero-downtime upgrades.
- Collaborate with multi-functional VMware project teams including VMware consultants, engineers, product management, and support staff.
- Understand overall network virtualization platform architecture and design best of class solutions that fit the product.

**Required Skills**:

- Extensive experience running high scale SaaS services as a DevOps.
- Running high scale Kubernetes cluster in production.
- Knowledge of modern software development tools and methodologies, with emphasis on high-availability services at scale.
- Deep understanding of distributed computing concepts in practice.
- Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment, including quickly getting up to speed with new technologies.
- Proficient organizational skills with the ability to lead challenging demands.

- Comfortable talking about low-level memory architectures as high-level industry trends
