Job Summary:

The Assistant Department Head at ASBS & Co. will support the Department Head in planning, supervising, and coordinating departmental operations. This role demands strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that departmental goals align with the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Support the Department Head in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and timelines to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Review reports, proposals, or submissions before final approval by the Department Head.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline processes and resolve escalations.
  • Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and cost optimization within the department.
  • Assist in compliance monitoring, audits, and internal control implementation.
  • Represent the department in inter-departmental meetings and external engagements as delegated.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of department-specific operations (e.g., operations, finance, compliance, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and ERP systems (if applicable).
