WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Embedded C Engineer to lead our embedded systems team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing embedded software for battery management systems (BMS), chargers, or inverters, and a proven track record in leading and mentoring engineering teams. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Technical leadership:

  1. Lead the design, development, and optimization of Embedded Software in C for BMS
  2. Guide the architecture and design of complex embedded systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  3. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies within the team.


Team Management:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of embedded engineers, providing technical guidance, support, and career development opportunities.
  2. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  3. Coordinate and manage project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
  4. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and set clear goals for team members.


Collaboration:

  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system engineers, and product managers, to define project requirements and deliverables.
  2. Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the embedded team and other departments.


System Design & Architecture:

  1. Oversee the development of system architectures and software designs that meet functional and performance requirements.
  2. Ensure that embedded software solutions are modular, maintainable, and adhere to industry best practices.


Testing & Validation:

  1. Establish and enforce rigorous testing and validation protocols to ensure the reliability and robustness of embedded software.
  2. Lead troubleshooting and debugging efforts, resolving complex software and hardware issues.


Documentation:

  1. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of detailed design documentation, including software specifications, flowcharts, and test reports.
  2. Ensure comprehensive technical documentation for product manuals and user guides.


QUALIFICATIONS


Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.


Experience:

  1. 7+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a focus on BMS, Chargers, or Inverters.
  2. 3+ years of experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects.
  3. Proven experience in developing software for microcontrollers
  4. Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming.


Technical skills:

  1. In-depth understanding of battery management systems, including state-of-charge (soc) and state-of-health (soh) algorithms.
  2. Expertise in power electronics, including chargers and inverters.
  3. Extensive experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, i2c, SPI, UART).
  4. Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
  5. Proficiency with debugging tools (e.g., jtag, Oscilloscopes) and software development tools


Leadership & Soft skills:

  1. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  3. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  4. Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
