Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Category Manager to join our team on the sell side. This role will be pivotal in driving product visibility, optimizing catalog content and ensuring effective pricing strategies across our platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for merchandising trends, meticulous cataloging skills and a strategic mindset for pricing execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandising:
● Conduct regular merchandising revisions to maintain fresh and engaging product displays.
● Coordinate new product launches to maximize visibility and sales impact.
● Track and analyze merchandising performance metrics, conducting experiments with top sellers and high-conversion SKUs to optimize sales.
Cataloging:
● Oversee revisions of catalog, identifying gaps and products where usage information is unclear. ● Collaborate with stakeholders to finalize video selections for catalog entries, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
● Verify shade cards and product descriptions for all existing and new SKUs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Pricing:
● Execute ad-hoc pricing adjustments based on market trends, competitive analysis, and business needs.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement pricing strategies that enhance product profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
Event Support:
● Provide merchandising inputs for platform and category events, ensuring alignment with promotional strategies and maximizing sales opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
● Proven experience in merchandising, catalog management or related roles within the retail or e-commerce industry.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a passion for accuracy in product information.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with merchandising software or platforms is a plus.
