JOB Description For MS SQL-L2

Job Type (Onsite/Remote) : Onsite

Shift details (General/ 24X7) : General shift

Qualification : B.E./Diploma/BSc Full Time (CSC and ECE). No gaps in Academics and No Distant Learning.

Certifications Required (if ANY) : Azure Certification on Requirement (If Any) Purpose : Database Management Services for enhancing the service quality to their business users.


Job Responsibilities :


MUST Have :

- MS-SQL and working Knowledge of POSTGRESQL Administration and Management

- MS-SQL Cluster Configuration and Management

- Replication configuration between DC-DR in MS-SQL

- Always-On Configuration and Troubleshooting Knowledge in MS-SQL

- Configuration of Data Encryption

- Tuning DB parameters

- Hardening Parameters of MS-SQL/PostgreSQL

- Monitor generated log and event files for messages indicating errors that will result in an incident

- DR Database availability Monitoring

- Report Status of Log Replications as per agreed schedules

- Monitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate an imminent failure

- Periodic config review to maintain consistent configurations

- Review and recommendation to maintain availability

- Monthly report on database availability

- Monitor the DB for failures and logged system events that indicate an imminent failure

- Reinstall Database software

- Reconfigure log Shipping

- Responding to database related incidents and drive corrective action

- Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management process

- Use trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize and create Problems Management Records

- Restoration of database

- Creating jobs/job schedule for routine/Maintenance jobs & Rebuilding of indexes

- Purging database Logs and trace files & Performance Management

- Defragmentation of Database and performance tuning

- Manage all Service requests through the change management process

- Automate administration tasks where possible

- Manage and update all Database environment Skills/Knowledge requirement :

- MS-SQL and PostgreSQL Administration

- Replication Configuration (DC-DR) in MS-SQL

- Database Parameter Tuning

- Hardening MS-SQL and PostgreSQL

- Disaster Recovery (DR) Database Monitoring

- Reinstallation and Reconfiguration

- Change Management for Service Requests
