Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to support our quality management system with a strong emphasis on ISO 9001 compliance. This role is critical to ensuring our products, processes, and documentation meet rigorous international standards and customer expectations. You'll collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement and maintain certification readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • ISO System Management
  • Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Prepare for and support internal and external ISO audits.
  • Ensure documentation, procedures, and records are compliant and up to date.

Process Documentation Ownership

  • Own the creation, revision, and control of all quality-related process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and quality manuals.
  • Ensure documents are standardized, accessible, and aligned with ISO requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and approve documentation updates.

Customer Notifications Ownership

  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customer-facing notifications related to non-conformances, corrective actions, and product updates.
  • Draft and manage formal communication in alignment with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Track and report on customer feedback and resolution timelines.

Archives Ownership

  • Maintain and organize quality records and archives in accordance with ISO retention policies.
  • Ensure secure and traceable storage of audit reports, CAPAs, inspection records, and certifications.
  • Support digital archiving initiatives and QMS platform optimization.

Process & Product Quality

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support production teams with quality inspections, testing protocols, and process validations.

Supplier & Customer Interface

  • Assist in supplier quality evaluations and incoming inspection processes.
  • Address customer complaints and non-conformances with structured problem-solving tools.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and Six Sigma projects.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role, preferably in manufacturing or renewable energy.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 a plus).
  • Experience with quality tools: FMEA, SPC, 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software (e.g., QMS platforms).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) – ASQ
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
