Join our dynamic team as a Storage Administrator- Netapp (5+ years of experience) for Bangalore location where you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our NAS infrastructure. We are seeking a proactive and skilled professional to ensure stable production, manage critical issues, and contribute to the ongoing success of our storage solutions.



Job Description:


Key Responsibilities:


  1. NAS Infrastructure Improvement:
  • Provide recommendations to enhance NAS infrastructure.
  • Manage and address critical issues, conduct root cause analysis.


  • Production Stability:
  • Ensure stable production environments and maintain resiliency.
  • Manage and resolve disruptions effectively.


  1. Agile Team Collaboration:
  • Adapt to changing requirements and prioritize customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies for planning and goal setting.
  • Be flexible with working hours during launches.


  1. Operational Management:
  • Handle ITSM processes (INC/CHG/ALERT/REQ) according to SLAs.
  • Work in a 24x7 environment to maintain production stability.


  1. Capacity Management:
  • Monitor and update capacity management with advanced NetApp competencies.


  1. Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in NetApp AFF storage technology, provisioning, and snap mirror replication (CIFS and NFS).
  • Hands-on experience with ONTAP firmware updates and troubleshooting Level 2/3 issues.
  • Exposure to Cisco SAN switches and intermediate troubleshooting.


  1. Documentation and Planning:
  • Prepare and manage production documentation (runbooks, disaster recovery scenarios).
  • Plan and coordinate new feature development and operational activities.


  1. Incident and Configuration Management:
  • Manage incidents, configuration, and capacity management.
  • Develop and maintain metrics for service performance and component reports.


  1. Technical Knowledge:
  • Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and handling incident/change/problem management.


  1. Automation and Scripting:
  • Intermediate Python scripting and automation skills.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and open-source tools.


  1. Cloud Awareness:
  • Basic knowledge of cloud storage and market trends.


  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Mentor new team members and focus on continuous learning and knowledge sharing.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in critical incident management and SLA management.
  • Strong technical documentation and process design skills.
