Role Definition: This role of Vice President (VP) of Sales is to lead and drive the growth of our sales division within the Share Broking industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, especially with Share Broking, mutual funds, and high-net-worth individual (HNI) clients. The VP of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to boost sales performance, maintain client relationships, and expand our customer base. This is a leadership position that requires a strong track record in sales management, business development, and team leadership.

Tasks & Activities:

1.      Sales Strategy & Leadership:

Ø Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed business objectives.

Ø Lead and mentor the sales team to drive productivity and achieve sales targets.

Ø Identify new business opportunities and segments for growth within share broking, insurance, mutual funds, and HNI clientele.

Ø Optimize sales processes and pipeline management, ensuring effective lead generation and conversion strategies.

 

2.      Client Relationship Management:

Ø Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with HNI clients, corporate clients, and institutional investors.

Ø Provide tailored investment solutions and financial products (including insurance and mutual funds) to meet the specific needs of clients.

Ø Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and retention by addressing client concerns and providing superior service.

3.      Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Ø Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to align sales strategies with organizational goals.

Ø  Collaborate with the leadership team to define pricing strategies and sales forecasting.

 

4.      Market Analysis & Business Development:

Ø Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.

Ø Leverage industry knowledge to recommend innovative solutions and sales techniques that attract new customers.

Ø Drive sales expansion into new territories or product lines (including insurance and mutual funds). Collaborate with the leadership team to define pricing strategies and sales forecasting.

 

5.      Reporting & Analytics:

Ø Provide regular reports to the senior management team regarding sales performance, market feedback, and client engagement.

Analyse sales data to improve forecasts, sales strategies, and key performance indicators.

 

6.      Team Leadership & Motivation:

Ø Recruit, train, and manage a sales team, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and motivation to achieve individual and team sales targets

 

Qualification & Experience

Ø Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales within the share broking, financial services, or related industry.

Ø Proven experience managing sales teams and driving revenue growth.

Ø Experience dealing with insurance products, mutual funds, and HNI clients is essential.

Ø Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Ø Certification in financial planning or securities (e.g., NISM, IRDA) is an added advantage.

Ø Ability to engage with and advise high-net-worth individuals (HNI) on complex financial products.
