Air Distribution Technologies Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Intellectual Property (IP) Analyst to support the expansion and protection of our patent portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers and business teams to identify innovations, assess patentability, and assist in IP strategy development. You will also support negotiations with third-party partners and ensure effective management of IP-related processes.While this role requires a strong understanding of patent preparation and prosecution, it will primarily focus on IP strategy, portfolio management, and collaboration with outside counsel rather than direct drafting of patent applications or office action responses. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, organized, and proactive in identifying opportunities for IP protection and risk mitigation.We are seeking a confident IP professional who excels in communication and stakeholder engagement. The most qualified candidate will integrate closely with business and engineering teams, becoming a trusted resource for patentability assessments, clearance evaluations, IP contracting, and overall intellectual property guidance. Exceptional performance in this role will open doors for growth opportunities within the organization.What We Look For:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, intellectual property, or a related field; advanced degree preferred5+ years of experience in intellectual property analysis, portfolio management, or patent prosecution supportStrong technical background, with experience analyzing and protecting control systems, mechanical equipment, and software-driven innovationsFamiliarity with software licensing, open-source compliance, and digital IP mattersAt least 3 years of experience supporting patent preparation and prosecutionAt least 2 years of experience reviewing and negotiating IP-related agreements with third partiesExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
