Job Title: XR Support Engineer – Enterprise AR/VR

Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused XR Support Engineer to join our enterprise AR/VR support team. This role involves hands-on support for immersive technologies such as HoloLens, Meta Quest, and mobile AR devices used in industrial and field operations. You will play a key role in device management, application troubleshooting, onboarding support, and reporting, working cross-functionally with development, IT, and field support teams.

Key Responsibilities

Device & Platform Support

  • Provide technical support for AR/VR hardware (e.g., HoloLens, Meta Quest, mobile AR)
  • Assist with device provisioning, onboarding, configuration, and compliance checks
  • Support and maintain device management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune or other MDM tools)

Application Support

  • Troubleshoot XR applications used for training, remote assistance, and collaboration
  • Manage user access, licensing, and deployment of XR content and apps
  • Coordinate with development teams for application updates, bug fixes, and patch deployment

User Onboarding & Training

  • Conduct onboarding and training sessions for end users on XR tools and safety protocols
  • Lead dry runs and walkthroughs for key scenarios and simulations
  • Maintain user-facing documentation, quick start guides, and internal SOPs

Licensing & Access Management

  • Provision and manage licenses across XR platforms and developer tools
  • Track access and usage to ensure compliance and optimize license utilization

Ticketing & Escalation

  • Log, track, and resolve support tickets via ITSM tools like ServiceNow
  • Monitor ticket queues, trends, and SLA adherence using dashboards
  • Escalate critical issues to relevant development or infrastructure teams

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with XR development, mobility, and site support teams
  • Participate in regular team syncs, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing sessions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or technical field support
  • Working knowledge or strong interest in XR/AR/VR technologies
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, ticketing, and dashboards
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network layers
  • Experience with MDM platforms - Intune
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create clear technical documentation
  • Strong team collaboration mindset and adaptability to evolving technologies
