Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Management: Oversee and maintain daily financial records for a U.S. entity. 

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. 

Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all U.S. federal, state, and local accounting principles (e.g., U.S. GAAP) and tax laws. 

Taxation: Handle complex tax research, prepare tax returns, and manage correspondence with tax authorities. 

Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliation of bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies. 

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and identify opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement. 

Audits: Assist with internal and external audits and respond to audit inquiries. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a standard requirement. 

Professional Certifications:

While not always mandatory, professional certifications like a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are highly valued by employers. 

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (such as NetSuite or Oracle Financials), strong Microsoft Excel skills, and overall technological savviness are essential. 

Soft Skills:

Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, excellent communication (both written and verbal), and the ability to present financial information to various stakeholders are critical.
