The Software Test Lead will collaborate closelywith cross-functional teams to developtest strategies, definetest plans, and execute testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software testers,providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.
- Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand projectgoals, requirements, and acceptance criteria,and translate them into comprehensive testing strategies and plans.
- Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of testable software builds and participate in design reviews to provide input on testability and quality aspects.
- Execute functional, regression, performance, and other types of testingas required, utilizing manual and automated testing techniques and tools.
- Identify, prioritize, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, including test coverage, test results, and defect metrics, to project stakeholders and management.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality across projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing, and advocate for their adoption within the organization.
- Act as a subject matter expert on software testing practices, providing guidance and support to team members and other stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience of 8+ years in software testing, leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional Agile teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.

- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of testers
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work seamlessly with other team leads (e.g., developers, product managers) and participate in design reviews to provide input on software testability and quality.
