Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of software testers,providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.- Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand projectgoals, requirements, and acceptance criteria,and translate them into comprehensive testing strategies and plans.- Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of testable software builds and participate in design reviews to provide input on testability and quality aspects.- Execute functional, regression, performance, and other types of testingas required, utilizing manual and automated testing techniques and tools.- Identify, prioritize, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.- Monitor and report on testing progress, including test coverage, test results, and defect metrics, to project stakeholders and management.- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality across projects.- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing, and advocate for their adoption within the organization.- Act as a subject matter expert on software testing practices, providing guidance and support to team members and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience of 8+ years in software testing, leadership or management role.- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.- Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit)- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional Agile teams.- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.

Key Competencies

- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of testers- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work seamlessly with other team leads (e.g., developers, product managers) and participate in design reviews to provide input on software testability and quality.- Adaptability to Change: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, timelines, and tools.
