Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase / Procurement- Executive to join our team specializing in beauty and unique beauty finds. This role requires a deep understanding of product sourcing, vendor management, and a keen eye for discovering exceptional beauty products from vendors all across the globe especially from China vendors and through platforms such as Alibaba. The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating, building strong supplier relationships, and maintaining high standards of product quality and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve the best possible deals.
  2. Manage the end-to-end procurement process including RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiation. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and product requirements.
  3. Supplier Relationship Management: Identify and develop relationships with new suppliers and vendors. Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to maximize profitability. Conduct sourcing activities to discover new and unique beauty products from Chinese vendors and through Alibaba. Evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve the best possible deals.
  4. Merchandise Strategy: Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to optimize product assortments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to execute merchandising strategies effectively.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment to meet demand forecasts. Ensure timely delivery of merchandise and coordinate with logistics teams as necessary.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure product quality standards are met through regular quality assessments and supplier audits.
  7. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes to make informed recommendations. Monitor industry trends and market conditions to anticipate changes in product availability and pricing.
  8. Ensure product quality meets company standards through effective supplier management and quality control processes.
  9. Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.

10.Procurement Support:

  • Assist in developing and executing global procurement strategies tailored to the cosmetics industry.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards specific to cosmetics.
  • Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Oversee purchase orders, track shipments, and address any supply chain issues to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and packaging materials.

11.Demand Planning:

  • Contribute to creating accurate demand forecasts by analyzing sales data, market trends, and promotional activities in the cosmetics sector.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to align demand forecasts with production capabilities and inventory levels.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory, considering the unique shelf life and storage requirements of cosmetics products.
  • Generate reports on demand planning performance and make data-driven recommendations for inventory adjustments.


Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in sourcing, merchandising, purchasing, or a similar role within the retail industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving attitude. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Travel as necessary to meet with vendors, attend trade shows, and conduct market research.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with inventory management systems will be preferred.
  2. Familiarity with international sourcing and import/export regulations.
  3. Passion for retail and consumer products.
