Role Overview
The MEP CAD Technician will support the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models. Working closely with engineers, designers, and project teams, the technician will ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Work closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable
Experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
