About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to manage all aspects of purchasing and procurement for our embedded power electronics products. This role is crucial for ensuring that the components and materials required for the development and production of our advanced power electronics solutions are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics and experience in procurement within a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Component Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Identify and source high-quality components and materials for embedded power electronics products, including EV Chargers, Grid Tie Solar Inverters, Motor Controllers, UPS systems, and more.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and reliability.

Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance, address any issues related to quality or delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze and manage procurement costs, seeking opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for cost-effective sourcing and procurement.

Technical Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the R&D and engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure that sourced components meet product specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any technical or supply-related issues.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices in procurement and stay updated on industry trends and innovations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, supplier contracts, and delivery schedules.
  • Generate reports and provide updates on procurement status, cost analysis, and supplier performance to management.

Preferred Skill Set:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronic components, embedded systems, and power electronics applications.
  • Procurement Experience: 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within the electronics or manufacturing industry.
  • Supplier Management: Proven experience in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high-quality deliveries.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze procurement data, assess supplier capabilities, and manage costs effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges and resolve issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal teams and external suppliers effectively.
  • ERP/Procurement Software: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
