Education :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in BOM management, product development, or procurement within the electronics or manufacturing industry is a plus.

About the Role:

We are seeking a meticulous and technically proficient BOM Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the key interface between the R&D team and the purchase department during both the R&D and production phases of our Embedded Power Electronics Products. Your primary responsibility will be to create and manage hierarchical Bills of Materials (BOMs) that will serve as the foundation for product costing, procurement, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

BOM Creation and Management:

• Develop and maintain detailed, hierarchical BOMs for various Embedded Power Electronics products, including EV Chargers, Grid Tie Solar Inverters, Motor Controllers, UPS systems, and more.
• Ensure that all components, sub-assemblies, and materials are accurately documented and organized within the BOMs.

Interface Between R&D and Purchase:

• Collaborate closely with the R&D team to understand product designs, specifications, and requirements.
• Work with the purchase department to ensure that all necessary components are accurately listed and available for procurement.

Cost Estimation and Tracking:

• Use BOMs to assist in the estimation of product costs, ensuring that all parts and materials are accounted for.
• Monitor and update BOMs as product designs evolve, tracking any changes in cost implications.

Supporting Production:

• Ensure that BOMs are comprehensive and up-to-date to support smooth production processes.
• Manage changes to the BOM during the production phase, including material substitutions, design changes, and component updates.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and organized records of all BOMs, including version control and change history.
• Generate reports and documentation as needed for internal stakeholders, including R&D, procurement, and production teams.

Preferred Skill Set:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of electronics and embedded systems, with the ability to translate technical designs into detailed BOMs.
• Experience with ERP/PLM Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and PLM software for BOM management.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and manage complex BOMs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication with both technical (R&D) and non-technical (procurement) teams.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in managing BOMs and ensuring all components and materials are accounted for.
