InCommon is hiring on behalf of a Canada-based technology solutions company.

Overview

We are looking for a Fabric Architect to design and scale next-generation analytics platforms in the Microsoft ecosystem. This is a remote role where you'll define architecture, guide implementation, and enable data teams to deliver insights faster and with enterprise-grade governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and analytics solutions in Microsoft Fabric.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines, transformations, and storage using Dataflows, Pipelines, Spark, and Delta Lake.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and drive ingestion-to-insight workflows.
  • Establish CI/CD and IaC practices with Azure DevOps, ARM, or Terraform.
  • Ensure governance, security, and compliance through Purview integration.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Fabric workloads.
  • Stay ahead of new Fabric capabilities and mentor junior team members.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 8–12 years in data engineering, architecture, or analytics.
  • 2–3 years hands-on with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong in SQL, Python, or PySpark.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Azure services.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools (ARM/Terraform) and data governance practices.
  • Nice to have: Power BI, Azure Databricks, or ML/AI exposure.
