Job Summary:

The Placement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating placement activities, ensuring smooth execution of placement drives, and maintaining effective communication between students, department heads, and corporate partners. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the Placement Department to publish job postings, schedule recruitment drives, and track student applications.
  • Maintain and manage a structured pipeline for upcoming placement drives and other placement-related processes.
  • Assist in organizing on-campus and virtual placement drives, ensuring a seamless experience for recruiters and students.
  • Ensure proper documentation, including placement reports, student databases, and recruiter feedback.
Corporate & Institutional Relations:
  • Liaise with corporate partners, HR representatives, and hiring managers to understand their hiring requirements.
  • Develop and strengthen industry relationships to increase placement opportunities for students.
  • Organize corporate interactions, guest lectures, and pre-placement talks for students.
Student Engagement & Training Support:
  • Guide students through the placement process, including resume building, interview preparation, and skill development.
  • Work closely with the training and development team to align student skills with industry demands.
  • Address student queries related to placements and ensure their concerns are resolved effectively.
Process Management & Data Handling:
  • Maintain updated records of placement activities, offer letters, and hiring statistics.
  • Utilize technology and analytics to track placement trends and enhance placement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with placement policies, eligibility criteria, and recruitment guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • MBA, MSW, HR, or relevant work experience in placements/corporate relations.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in placement coordination, corporate relations, or HR functions.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to manage placement data and digital recruitment platforms.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and proactive in handling placement-related activities.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and handle high-pressure recruitment seasons.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and a strong understanding of the placement process.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in campus placement coordination or corporate hiring.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn recruitment, job portals, and finding right opportunities.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and skill gaps to enhance student employability.
