About the Role :
We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager for a reputed product-based client to lead and deliver high-quality mobile solutions using React Native. While the role title is Manager, this is a hands-on, architect-level position, where approximately 80% of your time will be spent designing, developing, and reviewing code, and 20% will be dedicated to guiding, mentoring, and managing the team.
You will act as the technical authority for mobile architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, maintainability, and code quality, while fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of large-scale mobile applications using React Native.
- Develop, review, and optimize high-quality code following best practices for scalability and maintainability.
- Drive mobile performance optimization, including load times, rendering speed, and battery efficiency.
- Integrate APIs, third-party SDKs, and ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
- Oversee and improve mobile CI/CD pipelines for faster and more reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to ensure cohesive product delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural guidance to the development team.
- Mentor and upskill team members to improve coding practices, architecture understanding, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and industry standards in mobile app development.
- Stay updated with emerging mobile technologies and recommend adoption of relevant tools/frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 1215 years of total software development experience, with at least 4+ years in React Native development.
- Proven expertise in architecting and delivering large-scale, high-performance mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, mobile design patterns, and modern front-end best practices.
- Solid understanding of native Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Objective-C/Swift) development concepts.
- Experience with API integration, RESTful/GraphQL services, and third-party SDKs.
- Hands-on experience in mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
- Strong skills in mobile performance profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Prior experience in leading teams, providing technical direction, and managing engineering resources.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
