Job Description – MEP Lead / Specialist (Muttha Towers II)Position:MEP Lead / Specialist Department:Projects (Real Estate – Commercial High-Rise) Reports to:Project Director / Head of Projects Location:Pune (Muttha Towers II Site) Business Vertical:Commercial Real Estate (Grade A+ Office)About Muttha Towers IIMuttha Towers II is the Group’s marquee Grade A+ commercial office development in Pune, designed to set new benchmarks in sustainability, technology, and user experience. With ~60,000 sqm of leasable area, multiple basements, a ground floor, and 15 floors above, the project integrates next-gen workplace design, green building certifications, and cutting-edge MEP systems.Role OverviewThe MEP Lead / Specialist will spearhead the planning, design management, execution, testing, and commissioning of all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire & Life Safety, ELV, and Smart Building systems for Muttha Towers II. The role demands a strategic leader who can manage multiple stakeholders, drive sustainability goals, and deliver world-class building systems that exceed client and tenant expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Coordination • • Review and finalize MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and coordinated layouts with consultants. • • Ensure integration of green building (IGBC/LEED/WELL Platinum) and smart building features. • • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, façade consultants, and interiors teams to ensure seamless design. • • Implement value engineering and optimization strategies without compromising performance or sustainability.Execution & Supervision • • Lead and supervise installation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, ELV, and Building Management Systems (BMS). • • Manage multiple subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and time milestones. • • Resolve site-level technical issues swiftly to prevent schedule delays.Testing, Commissioning & Handover • • Develop and execute system-level commissioning protocols. • • Ensure integration of IoT-based monitoring systems, energy dashboards, and intelligent lighting controls. • • Oversee preparation and handover of O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and compliance certifications.Cost & Contract Management • • Support preparation and monitoring of MEP budgets. • • Review vendor/subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and manage cost variations. • • Ensure timely procurement of long-lead items (transformers, chillers, DG sets, fire pumps, etc.).Quality, Safety & Sustainability • • Enforce strict QA/QC protocols and site audits. • • Drive compliance with HSE norms and promote a zero-incident culture. • • Deliver building systems that target IGBC/LEED/WELL Platinum certification and ISO 50001 energy efficiency benchmarks.Reporting & Stakeholder Management • • Provide weekly/monthly progress reports to senior leadership and clients. • • Liaise with consultants, authorities, and tenants for smooth approvals and delivery. • • Represent Muttha Towers II in technical discussions with global corporate occupiers.Qualifications & Experience • • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred). • • 12–15+ years of MEP leadership experience in high-rise commercial office / IT SEZ projects. • • Proven track record of delivering at least one large-scale commercial tower with IGBC/LEED/WELL certification. • • Strong working knowledge of Indian statutory codes (NBC, ECBC, IS) and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, BICSI).Technical & Leadership Competencies • • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks for design coordination. • • Hands-on knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project for project scheduling. • • Strong leadership, contractor management, and problem-solving skills. • • Excellent communication skills for multi-stakeholder coordination.Why Join Muttha Towers II? • • Opportunity to deliver one of Pune’s most prestigious commercial projects. • • Work with world-class consultants and international occupiers. • • Drive innovation in sustainability and smart building systems. • • Be part of a forward-looking organization shaping the future of Indian real estate.
