About Trademo :Trademo is a Global Supply Chain Intelligence SaaS Company, headquartered in Palo-Alto, US.Trademo collects public and private data on global trade transactions, sanctioned parties, trade tariffs, ESG and other events using its proprietary algorithms.Trademo analyzes and performs advanced data processing on billions of data points (50Tb+) using technologies like Graph Databases, Vector Databases, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, NLP and Machine Learning (LLMs) to build end-to-end visibility on Global Supply Chains.Trademos vision is to build a single truth on global supply chains to different stakeholders in global supply chains discover new commerce opportunities, ensure compliance with trade regulations, and automation for border security.Trademo stands out as one of the rarest Indian SaaS startups to secure 12.5 mn in seed funding.Founded by Shalabh Singhal, who is a third-time tech entrepreneur and an alumni of IIT BHU, CFA Institute USA, and Stanford GSB SEED.Our Trademo is backed by a remarkable team of leaders and entrepreneurs like Amit Singhal (Former Head of Search at Google), Sridhar Ramaswamy (CEO, Snowflake), Neeraj Arora (MD, General Catalyst & Former CBO, Whatsapp Group).What will you be doing here?- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers.- Oversee the execution of engineering projects from planning to delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget goals are met.- Drive engineering best practices, architecture decisions, and code quality standards.- Work closely with Product, Design, QA, and other stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals.- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback and career development support.- Participate in hiring processes to attract and retain top engineering talent.- Stay current with industry trends and advocate for the adoption of new tools and technologies that improve team productivity and code quality.Key Responsibilities : - Lead, mentor, and scale a team of backend and full-stack engineers. - Oversee the execution of complex engineering projects from design to deployment, ensuring quality and timely delivery. - Define and enforce engineering best practices, architecture standards, and code quality metrics. - Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and Data Science teams to deliver scalable SaaS solutions. - Conduct performance reviews, one-on-ones, and career development sessions for engineers. - Contribute to system design, code reviews, and technical decision-making. - Drive adoption of modern technologies, tools, and DevOps practices. - Manage agile sprints, prioritize backlogs, and ensure efficient project execution. - Partner with leadership to shape technical strategy and roadmap for the product. Technical Skills : - Strong hands-on experience with backend development in Python, Node.js, or Java. - Expertise in cloud environments (AWS) EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, etc. - Knowledge of modern data technologies Graph Databases, Vector Databases, MongoDB, ElasticSearch. - Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and CI/CD pipelines. - Understanding of ML/NLP pipelines and experience collaborating with Data Science teams. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.). Qualifications : - B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of backend software development experience. 2+ years of people management or technical leadership experience. - Proven experience managing agile engineering teams in a fast-paced startup or scale-up. - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
