About PointO Pointo is building India’s largest organized, seamless battery distribution and service network to power a $30 billion EV and energy storage market. Through this network, we offer affordable, leasable, and loanable next-gen batteries to EV owners and energy storage segments. We are on a mission to revolutionize the way India powers its mobility by making batteries accessible, efficient, and sustainable.Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Head – East Region to lead Pointo’s business expansion in the Eastern market, especially Kolkata and neighboring states. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with battery or energy brands like Exide, Luminous, Eastman, Amaron, or other power solution companies, and a deep understanding of EV batteries, energy storage systems, and channel distribution.Key Responsiblities ·Maintain and track performance index for Sales team of the state. ·Define marketing campaigns and processes in close collaboration with the marketing team to drive sales and market penetration. ·Drive regional sales strategy to achieve revenue and volume targets for the East Zone. ·Build and manage dealer/distributor networks for lithium and lead-acid battery segments. ·Identify new business opportunities across EV OEMs, fleet operators, and energy storage integrators. ·Maintain strong relationships with OEM clients and key B2B customers. ·Lead a team of Territory Sales Managers and Channel Executives. ·Conduct competitor analysis and devise local market strategies to maximize share. ·Manage pricing, commercial terms, and channel credit control. ·Coordinate closely with operations, logistics, and product teams to ensure customer satisfaction. ·Represent the brand in trade meets, partner conferences, and key regional exhibitions.Qualifications and Experience ·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred). ·7–12 years of experience in sales, preferably in Battery / Solar / Energy / EV / Power solutions industry. ·Proven experience working in or with companies such as Eastman, Exide, Luminous, Amaron, etc. ·Strong dealer network understanding in Eastern India (West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, North-East). ·Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. ·Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving market.Preferred Attributes ·Prior experience in Lithium-ion and Lead-acid battery sales. ·Knowledge of EV ecosystem, 3W/2W segment, or stationary energy applications. ·Exposure to OEM business development and channel sales management. ·Strategic thinker with strong execution focus and customer orientation.Why Join PointO? ·Be part of a high-growth EV energy startup reshaping India’s energy landscape. ·Lead regional sales in one of the most dynamic energy markets. ·Work closely with top leadership and drive business expansion from the front line.
