Overview:

The Clarks Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Business Development/ Acquisition to lead our business growth initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving strategic business expansion, forging new partnerships, and enhancing our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality business development, strategic planning, and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, potential partnerships, and growth areas.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Use insights to shape business development strategies and initiatives.

Partnership & Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry associations.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Brand Enhancement:

  • Enhance the brand presence of The Clarks Hotels & Resorts through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and evaluate the success of business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and results to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in property acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.


Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and revenue.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
