Job Summary:
The AGM Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operational activities of the hospital. This includes managing various departments, improving patient experience, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and aligning operations with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee and coordinate hospital operations across all departments (clinical and non-clinical).
- Streamline processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage the hospital’s logistics, ensuring proper allocation of resources, equipment, and staff.
- Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Assist in the development and execution of hospital strategies to enhance growth and patient care.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive initiatives that improve service delivery and financial performance.
- Monitor the performance of different departments and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
- Work closely with clinical staff to implement best practices and quality standards in patient care.
- Drive continuous quality improvement programs to enhance hospital performance and accreditation.
- Team Leadership & Staff Management:
- Manage and mentor hospital department heads and operational teams.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered work culture within the hospital.
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluations for hospital staff.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting and cost control within hospital operations.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to meet budget targets.
- Track key operational metrics and report on financial health to senior management.
- Patient Care & Experience:
- Ensure that patient care is prioritized and patient satisfaction is monitored.
- Address patient complaints and concerns, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Technology Integration:
- Implement and oversee the adoption of hospital management software and digital solutions.
- Ensure that all departments utilize the technology effectively to improve operations and patient care.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with external partners, vendors, and government agencies as necessary.
- Build strong relationships with insurance companies, medical equipment suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or Master's degree in Healthcare Management is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 12-14 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing a multispecialty hospital’s operations.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and practices.
- Financial management and budgeting skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Familiarity with hospital management software and healthcare technologies.
