Key Responsibilities

  • Project Development & Documentation
  • Assist in preparation of project design documents (PDD/PD, PoA-DD, Monitoring Reports).
  • Coordinate validation/verification with DOEs/VVBs.
  • Support carbon project registration under voluntary and compliance registries.
  • Registry & Standards Management
  • Manage project submissions on platforms like Verra, Gold Standard, CDM, GCC, Cercarbono, and Ecoregistry.
  • Track project status, credit issuance timelines, and registry compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of methodology requirements and procedural updates.
  • Market Intelligence & Analysis
  • Research emerging carbon market trends, Article 6 developments, and ICVCM/CORSIA guidelines.
  • Benchmark carbon credit prices across voluntary and compliance markets.
  • Provide inputs on project feasibility, baseline assessments, and MRV strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with project developers, assurance bodies, and carbon credit buyers.
  • Prepare decks, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support due diligence for carbon credit transactions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Environmental Science, Climate Policy, Sustainability, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience with carbon credit projects under one or more standards/registries (UNFCCC CDM, Verra VCS, Gold Standard, Cercarbono, GCC, ART TREES).
  • Strong understanding of GHG accounting, MRV frameworks, and additionality principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14064/14065/17029 standards is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; exposure to project management tools is a plus.
