- Reports To: Director / Partner – Cloud Practice
Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer at the Associate Director level to lead strategic cloud initiatives, drive presales engagements, and architect enterprise-grade solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud migration, landing zone design, VMware and GCVE, GKE, and network and security architecture. This role demands a blend of technical leadership, client engagement, and delivery oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Estimation:
- - Lead client discussions, solutioning, and proposal development for GCP opportunities.
- - Provide accurate effort estimations and resource planning for cloud transformation projects.
Architecture & Delivery:
- - Design and implement enterprise-grade landing zones on GCP.
- - Lead cloud migration strategies including rehost, re-platform, and refactor approaches.
- - Architect and deploy VMware workloads on GCVE and containerized applications on GKE.
- - Ensure robust network and security architectures, including VPC design, IAM, firewall rules, and compliance controls.
Technical Leadership:
- - Mentor and guide engineering teams across cloud engagements.
- - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Application teams.
Client Engagement:
- - Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- - Drive innovation and thought leadership in cloud adoption and modernization.
Required Qualifications
- - 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in GCP engineering roles.
- - Proven experience in presales, solutioning, and estimations for cloud projects.
- - Strong hands-on expertise in:
- - - GCP Landing Zone setup and governance.
- - - Cloud migration tools and methodologies.
- - - VMware, GCVE, and GKE.
- - - Networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect) and Security (IAM, DLP, KMS).
- - GCP Professional certifications (e.g., Cloud Architect, Network Engineer) preferred.
- - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- - Experience in regulated industries (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare).
- - Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud strategies.
- - Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
- - Experience working in Agile delivery models.
