We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead the development of our internal Risk, Fraud and Operations Platform.

This platform plays a critical role in ensuring smooth business operations, detecting anomalies, managing fraud workflows, and supporting internal teams with real-time visibility and control.

As an Engineering Manager, youll be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of backend engineers working on high-throughput systems, real-time data pipelines, and internal tools that power operational intelligence and risk management.

You will own delivery, architecture decisions, team growth, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and grow a team of software engineers building internal risk and ops platforms.

- Oversee the design and development of scalable microservices and real-time data pipelines.

- Collaborate with stakeholders from Risk, Ops, and Product to define technical roadmaps and translate them into delivery plans.

- Ensure high system reliability, data accuracy, and low-latency access to risk signals and ops dashboards.

- Drive architectural decisions, code quality, testing, and deployment best practices.

- Contribute to hands-on design, reviews, and occasional coding when required.

- Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of services deployed on AWS.

- Mentor team members and foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.

Tech Stack You'll Work With :

- Languages : Node.js, Python, Java

- Data & Messaging : Kafka, OpenSearch, MongoDB, MySQL , Apache Spark , Apache Flink , Apache Druid

- Architecture : Microservices, REST APIs

- Infrastructure : AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, CI/CD etc.)

Requirements :

- 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend and distributed systems.

- 2+ years of people management or tech leadership experience.

- Strong experience with Node.js and Python; familiarity with Java is a plus.

- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka or similar.

- Exposure to OpenSearch, MongoDB, and relational databases like MySQL.

- Exposure to Spark, Flink , Data pipeline ETL

- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and services on AWS.

- Proven ability to manage timelines, deliver features, and drive cross-functional execution.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience in risk, fraud detection, operations tooling, or internal platforms.

- Experience with observability, alerting, and anomaly detection systems.

- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with rapidly evolving requirements
