Role & Responsibility: -
A C&I (Commercial & Industrial) Project Sales Executive typically works in sectors such as construction, energy, or manufacturing, where they are responsible for selling products or services related to large-scale projects. Here are some of the key roles and responsibilities of this position: 1. Sales and Business Development Identifying Opportunities: Find and target potential clients for commercial and industrial projects. This could include construction companies, industrial firms, or large commercial enterprises. Lead Generation: Build and manage a pipeline of potential sales leads through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships. Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market demands, competitor activities, and technological advancements to position the company's products and services effectively. 2. Client Engagement and Relationship Management Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions. Consultative Selling: Act as an advisor to clients, offering customized solutions that meet their specific project needs, and helping them solve complex technical problems. Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present formal proposals, presentations, and quotations for potential clients, ensuring alignment with their project requirements and budget. 3. Project Management and Coordination Project Scope Understanding: Work closely with engineering or technical teams to fully understand the scope, timelines, and requirements of a project to ensure the proposed solution is viable. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate with other departments like engineering, design, procurement, and production to ensure smooth execution of the project once the sale is secured. Client Expectations: Manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that deliveries and outcomes meet agreed terms. 4. Negotiation and Closing Deals Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with clients while ensuring profitability for the company. Sales Targets: Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company by securing new projects and clients. Closing Sales: Take responsibility for finalizing sales agreements and contracts, ensuring both parties are satisfied with the terms.
6. Post-Sales Support and Account Management Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to clients after the sale, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered as agreed, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise. Feedback and Upsell: Gather feedback from client's post-project to improve future sales strategies, and identify opportunities for upselling or repeat business. Skills and Qualifications: Strong sales and negotiation skills. Technical knowledge of the product or service being sold. Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Understanding of contract law and project management principles. Experience in the commercial and industrial sectors.
