Rapido Cabs made its debut on May 2023, marking the commencement of its services in eight cities. Notably, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Delhi stand out as the primary cities for this initial launch. However, the ambitious plan includes an extensive expansion to encompass over 50 cities in the coming 12 months.

Job Summary:

The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the Technical and Functional Academies within Rapido. This role focuses on ensuring that employees have access to the technical and functional skills needed to excel in their roles and drive the company forward. The L&D Manager will design, implement, and manage targeted learning programs, assessments, and development initiatives to enhance employee proficiency and productivity.


Job Responsibilities:


Technical Academy Management


Academy Setup: Establish the Technical Academy, focusing on key competencies such as QA, SQL, MongoDB, and other critical technical skills.


Curriculum Design: Develop and curate a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with current and future technical needs of the organization.


Skill Assessment: Implement tools and assessments to gauge the technical proficiency of employees, categorizing them as beginners, advanced, or experts.

Technical Proficiency Development: Design and deliver training programs to upskill employees, ensuring they meet the technical requirements of their roles.


Continuous Improvement:Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of technical training programs, making adjustments based on feedback and evolving business needs.


Functional Academy Management:

Academy Setup: Establish the Functional Academy, aimed at quickly enhancing employees' functional knowledge and productivity.


Knowledge Bites & Micro-Learning: Develop and implement micro-learning modules and knowledge bites that focus on key functional areas, ensuring employees have quick access to the information they need.


Functional Skill Building: Create targeted learning initiatives to address specific functional gaps across departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance.


Learning Paths: Design clear learning paths for employees to progress in their functional roles, ensuring alignment with career development goals.


Evaluation and Feedback: Continuously monitor and assess the impact of functional learning programs, using feedback and performance data to refine and improve offerings.


Learning Program Design and Delivery:

Program Development: Lead the design and development of learning programs that cater to both technical and functional needs, ensuring they are engaging, relevant, and effective.


Instructional Methods:Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including e-learning, classroom training, on-the-job training (OJT), and self-learning, to meet diverse learning preferences.


Vendor Management: Identify and collaborate with external training providers, ensuring that their offerings align with the organization's goals and standards.


Budget Management: Manage the budget for the Technical and Functional Academies, ensuring effective use of resources and delivering high-quality training within financial constraints.


Collaboration and Communication:

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with L&D Head, department leads, subject matter experts to ensure learning programs are aligned with Rapido objectives and department-specific needs.


Employee Communication: Plan and Execute communication of learning opportunities clearly to employees, promoting engagement and participation in the academies.


Reporting and Metrics: Track and report on the effectiveness of the Technical and Functional Academies, using key metrics to guide continuous improvement and demonstrate ROI.
