Job Brief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing team at GMO Research & AI, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the market research or panel company sector, with a proven ability to lead complex projects, manage client relationships, and mentor junior team members. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play an important role in overseeing multiple projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, optimizing processes, and contributing to our strategic growth in the region.


A Senior Project Manager works with the VP of sales and operations in the region to deliver quality studies.

-Definition of Quality

Project quality is composed of many elements and each should be taken into account when managing projects. Quality includes managing projects to initial specs, effective management to the number of completes, IR, LOI, SCO and QTF. Effective internal communication to US Team leaders and external communication to clients and vendors is required.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Project Oversight

Manage and oversee multiple complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Provide strategic input to optimize project processes and improve overall efficiency and quality.

  • Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing high-stakes projects and providing strategic advice to help clients define their research needs. Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication.

  • Mentorship and Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers and team members to ensure they achieve high standards in project management, client service, and overall performance. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

  • Advanced Problem Solving

Handle complex project challenges, escalations, and crises effectively. Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Quality Control and Process Improvement

Develop, implement, and refine project management methodologies, processes, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality research services. Conduct regular quality checks and reviews to maintain excellence.

  • Project Budget and Resource Management

Oversee project budgets, manage resources effectively, ensure quotas are met, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain projects specs within budget

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, panel management, and support teams to ensure cohesive project execution and client satisfaction.

  • Business Development Support

Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding client relationships. Assist the sales team in crafting proposals, pitching for new projects, and contributing to business development activities.

  • Stakeholder Management

Manage internal and external stakeholders with a focus on maintaining strong relationships, setting clear expectations, and ensuring overall satisfaction.

  • Innovation and Thought Leadership

Contribute to thought leadership by identifying and implementing new research methodologies, tools, and approaches to enhance the company's service offerings.


Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in project management, within the market research industry.
  • Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing projects, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to assess project needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in project deliverables.
  • Time Management: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) and familiarity with data collection and survey platforms.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client-Focused: Strong commitment to client satisfaction, with the ability to anticipate client needs and exceed expectations.
  • More than 1 year of study abroad experience.
