Job Overview:

We are seeking a Database Developer to join our team of world-class technology professionals. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimising database systems that form the backbone of our cutting-edge software solutions, which transcend client expectations and enhance user engagement. The ideal candidate is not just a technical virtuoso but a visionary who understands the importance of data in crafting compelling narratives and user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Database Design and Modeling: Architect robust, scalable database models that support the complex needs of modern web and mobile applications. This includes conceptualizing and implementing databases with a focus on performance, integrity, and security.
  2. Data Strategy and Management: Develop and execute a cohesive data strategy that aligns with project goals and client visions. This involves data migration, integration, and the establishment of protocols for data security and backup.
  3. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, tune, and optimize database performance using the latest techniques and tools. Ensure data retrieval and manipulation is swift and efficient, contributing to seamless user experiences.
  4. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the database architecture meets the overall project requirements. Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and sharing knowledge on best practices and new technologies.
  5. Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest developments in database technologies and data management strategies. Propose and implement innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible, enhancing our capabilities and keeping us at the forefront of the industry.
  6. Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements. Translate these into technical specifications and database solutions that are both scalable and tailored to the unique needs of each project.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in database development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
  • Deep understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficient in SQL and experience with at least one of the major databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases, Big Data technologies, and cloud-based database management systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of successful collaboration.
  • 3+ years of experience is required.
