**About Role**:
**Roles & responsibility**:

- Database Management: Oversee the development and use of databases, ensuring they function properly, and data remains consistent across the database.
- Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
- Database Security: Implement and maintain database security policies, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Backup & Recovery: Plan, coordinate and implement database backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
- Data Modelling: Develop and manage data models in all their forms, including conceptual models, relational database designs, message models and others.
- Data Migration: Manage the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for resolution of problems, upgrades, installations, and maintenance.

**Desired Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator handling both relational (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase).
- Strong knowledge of database design, data management, data backup/recovery, database security, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and understanding of database compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Oracle Database Certification, Microsoft SQL Server Database Certification, MongoDB Certified DBA, etc.) will be preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms (like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and services related to database management is a plus.

**Working Conditions**:
**This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines or solve specific IT issues. Regular collaboration with other IT team members and departments is required.**

**Salary**: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- total work: 10 years (preferred)
